broken

my computer is officially dead.
its ok though, served me for 4 years i think.
but am just sad because there is so much stuff to do and am stuck with no computer
and its hard to update my blog and upload pictures.
so for now you will have to deal with kiting shots mostly as my point and shoot is also broken plus i dont have a computer to upload it with.

so here i am again updating through anton´s computer.
we didn't push through with the Vigan trip because of the schedule situation
but yes we are happy here in windy boracay.

in two days we will be in manila to paint the town red, see some friends and work a little bit.
i have a shoot with two of my favorite waterbabies.
stay tuned on how it will go.

to those in manila, hit me up and lets hang

here are some screenies from the shoot the other day
thank you

back to love.

When i was young i had a manual SLR minolta camera to play with
it was really expensive for me to shoot and play with the cost of film plus development

i am reflecting on the joy of having a digital SLR and a viewfinder.
Though nowadays being a photographer is so easy.
Before, you had to be one of those "talented" ones with an eye for it and the patience to match it.
in short you are a geek.

I remember buying a roll of film at ISO 100 for 30 shots would cost me 1 day school allowance and we go shoot with some friends around.
we need to be very prepared as we only have 1 roll each. after that we would have to go back to the dark room and develop it ourselves.

It took us 2-3 days 2 to do this.

So what am i saying?
Am saying yes i love taking pictures and doing video ( and then before i had a separate v8 cam to do video that is nothing as F*ck like compared to shooting video on 60D)
Am so glad am back on this after a while

it would still be fun to shoot in manual though - when it was all about craftsmanship and creativity - which is now simplified in an application called Photoshop
<3 <3 <3

here's a photo of my ass, taken by anton in their front door.

am enjoying the cold actually but not too much of it. ill be hanging out with some friends when i get to stockholm, it would be fun

Sweden is nice <3

Praaaso

Went to Rodos for a short visit
it was really nice and very medieval.
Old Town was amazzzing.
Anton took me on a day trip to old town.
I always enjoy these places.

We stayed in a friend's place in Rhodes Town and the room was above Pacha Rhodes. The view from it was amazing. Sunset overlooking Turkey. Siccck!

The room reminded me of Room one above Hey Jude in Boracay. Music until the wee hours in the morning.
But it was such a dank place to spend a few nights.

Then we went on to Praso which is one of the best spots i've ever been so far. It's a bit crowded but you just have to step up to get some space. Spending a few seshies here was good for progression since the water is flat and wind is offshore in the sand bar, then just go upwind and your on the wave spot. How cool eh?

We stayed in a Tent with Mikey and Eric.
It was really a nice experience. Prasso is one of those places you can stay forever and just be merry.

Ill definitely be back here.

spring cleaning is always fun
you discover a lot of bullcrap in your pile of stuff

bullcrap stuff from your emotional younger years
entertaining and inspiring at the same time

came across my sketchpad from 2005-2009

discovered a few stuff which i only really shared to close friends and away from the general public until today.lol

this should be fun.

an unfinished self portrait i did..2009

experimenting with watercolor

some swimwear studies for my swimline Love Coconut, i did a few samples for myself
until my money ran out to buy materials to actually put them on production..next time..next time :)

Saw some designs i did when i "briefly" worked for Tyler - yes that's right, i did! realized it wasn't for me when they gave me the Menswear sec! cuffs, collars and buttons are so hard to deal with.
Plus being stuck in a grey walled office with people walking around greeting you with your name initials. WTF!
Goodmorning, PBR, how are you today?!
Drats.

i admit, i am one of those people who cannot function properly when all i see is monochromatic walls with slogan frames like "Be Efficient, Be Effective" signs around me, period.

I also found some artwork that friends did for me..here are some of them

from PancitAnton

from Marvin Tojos

ok, who owns this? one of those fun drunk art parties? i really don't remember..

and a new addition:
got my kicks customized by Saxon over a burrito at 4 in the morning last weekend

it's beautiful <3

PS: as much as i hate karaoke
my dad ALWAYS sing this song to me when we go to a karaoke place.
i miss it!

PKRA Thailand X Thai Wake Park X Bangkok : Thailand Love You Long Time

The Thailand Trip was insane!

Bruno Sroka who was also with us for the KTA in Boracay. We all came in on the same flight and got a nice deal for a huge van with a Teli heading to Hua Hin

not to mention my two hot kite mommas Normeth and Nenette of Hangin Kite Center who followed the day after...

-----
We got to Hua Hin really late so we had to drag our quivers to the comp area then look for our house which felt like forever since we we're traveling the entire day.

The wind in Hua Hin at that time was erratic, it's either hot and windless or windy and freezing with rain, so we kinda spent most of the PKRA days in the InterCon hotel poolside (chillin' like a millionaire. lol ) when the boys got knocked out from the double elims.

Kiting in Hua Hin is kinda tricky as the waves get big in the shore but it's fun to use them as kickers when you get a hang of it. Kite relaunching was death in the making
o well, i get kudos for experience.
-----

Two Weeks of pure fun and realizations and just some random quirky stuff

---

in the PKRA Thailand it was nice to meet the girls in the kite hood.
---
Thai food is amazinggggg but always say NO SPICY because it will still be spicy in the end
---
Fried insects doesn't really taste different from crispy chicken skin but with matching little legs that kinda get stuck on your throat when you don't chew on them properly
---
SamSam Bar in Hua Hin can be fun when your with the right people.
---
Partying in Bangkok is expensive.
---
Hotel Room AfterParties are always funny.
---
Bangkok is a GREAT city; such a visual overload
---
A PingPong Show is really disgusting, we were so horrified and regret seeing it. but hey.
---
Anton and Mikey formed a band in Hua Hin Reggae Bar. and i was the first groupie!
It is a quaint little bar at the end of Hua Hin beach with really cool locals.
-Safety First-
---
The obstacles at the Thai Wake Park are super smooth so i got to progress in my rail riding style a lot.
---
Our HouseLady in the hostel is named MEOW and she cannot speak english
---
Getting Lost with a great group is entertaining. especially if you don't have any Bhat money left to go home. hehe
-----

You'll probably find half of the pictures in this blogpost bizarre as most of these are related to our trip experience and inside jokes about it.

but here is a nice funbox sequence that Anton shot and edited for me.
