Roxy girls shine bright

i took a little time off last weekend to see my family, friends in the city and to hang out with my fellow roxy girls in Zambales because the surf is up! yes our surfing season up in the north is banging!

am so glad i made this trip as i havent really hung out with the other girls yet. and to tell you honestly everyone is aaaaaawesome! in our own unique ways we are all roxy girls, agatha - our little skater from bagiuo is just cute, patty our teacher slash surfer, brei our fashion magazine extraordinaire and surfer, bea our surfer chick, joanne our wakeboarder and me our kite girl! such a fun boardgirls group i must say. here are some snaps of the trip, i miss zambales i havent been here for maybe 3-4 years and it has changed for the good. i can say that surfers are really taking care of this beach and there is also no trash in sight! a lot of new artworks also came about, and i saw a twin sister of our artwork in kasbah by the amazing deejae paeste!

for now am stoked to be back home but had a greaaaat weekend surfing and seeing familiar faces. its also great to see some of my girls i havent seen in years!
like abi, anna aldover and isa! my grade school best friend! she's still awesome as ever and we had fun goofing around in the line up and taking photos as usual!

i also realized i havent written anything remotely interesting in this blog due to a lack of motivation and interesting stuff to write about, but seeing all these girls ripping with me, it makes my heart smile :)

to all the girls out there that are shredding, continue what you are doing! your great and roxy is always there to make sure you look cute while shredding hehehehe

Change is Good

2012 has been both equally good and bad to me i must say.

A broken heart, a dislocated shoulder, a major concussion, etc

but i was able to travel to a lot of places and met a lot of great people that inspired me to be

stay stronger than ever.

I had a great time revisiting San Francisco and see old buddies that now reside there, as much as they say that they are now used to the cold, i know they are in denial.

Lol.

The Triple S was a great experience altogether both in kiting and in the general boardsports culture.

I feel so at home with all these people around me! super fun to hang out with too!!!!

Greece for my second season there was also great!

I was able to explore paros more and felt like it is my homespot too that i actually cried that i had to leave.

Being back in Boracay after a very rough 2011 season due to a lot of things, now it's different.

I can say that i have learned so many things this year about me and what i really want to do.

I was able to find people that support me and my vision fully which makes me feel like am not crazy or something.LOL

First things first,

I'll do something that will bring me back to my visual roots.

After 7 years i was able to pick up a brush and paint again.

(although now am again to busy to do so)

Learn to say no.

Do what you love to do so it doesn't feel like work at all.

The December Showdown rundown

Spell HECTIC and that's me. December is always a hectic month, i thought this year would be different because we didn't have the WONW event but boy was i wrong.

As you all know, i am now riding for BEST kiteboarding. First asian rider on the team - i will never stop saying this but it's the BEST crew in the world!!!

Also, i just got signed in with ROXY and DC shoes, and got renewed for GoPro...wohooo!

Of course Tribu outdoors and The Headware are staple supporters

so it's gonna be a FAB year ahead when it comes to kiteboarding!

January is already full of surprises!! watch out.

On the other side of life, i've been going to Yoga class to strengthen the shoulder and i just love it as much as i love kiteboarding.

I also like the fact that i would be able to have Dulcinea Chorros for breakfast after yoga..

Yes guys, Dulcinea is now open in Boracay, in this place called Uptown which is near True Food in Station 2.

As much as i hate food chains opening here in there in our favorite island paradise, we really can't help that now especially with Mc D's opening up in Boracay Regency...uhhh such a waste of space.

Noli Aurillo has been Serenading us 4 times a week at Kasbah for the whole month of December, not to mention the great ambiance that my "front yard" called Kasbah is giving everyone.

PS: it's a pretty stressful job to make sure all you tourists have a great and "chill" time. BTW! lol

and i got my NEW Sol ION Harness. it's super comfy and really really snug.

i can grab my board so easy now. wiiiiii!

We also had a little christmas party by the river Nabaoy, i haven't been there for YEARSSS!!

me and anna were assigned to do the decor for our Mad Hatter Christmas Tea PArty..

it was one of those childhood dreams that you wish you have a reason to do, just for fun :)

The party was an awesome mess!! i love my friends!
