The view from the Top

I never really thought i'll do my first flight on a paraglide here in Paros.
Veso, who decided to come and hang out with us here at Paros to kite for a few days brought his tandem wing, me, grant and william went for a spin.
And...
I LOVED IT!

now am in really big trouble, as usual i will get hooked on this sport and probably go mental again on doing crazy turns or what not.

Veso is a professional acro paraglider from Bulgaria who also started kiting a few months back.
check out his adventures at

He took time off to chill here and now on the way to prepare for an acro tour/competition around europe.
Goodluck!

---

I was super stoked when he was keen to take me up paragliding.
i even tried to pilot it and to my surprise it was easier and lighter than kiting.

PS: sometimes being small is cool, according to the pilot behind me it was easy to bring me up because i was tiny. Although this strap infront me is actually really in the way of my face all the time because am too small on the seat. it's really cramping my view. LOL

We also did a few simple "tricks" (check out some photos)  and you'll see the paraglide almost being sideways.

If you know me very well too, you know that i love themeparks, rides and roller coasters, especially if it involves free fall.
so yes, i did love this experience, its like being on a roller coaster with a better view.

I wanted to experience more turns but i didn't expect to go fly before my friend Grant, i decided to eat some cookies on the way, when we were climbing the top of the mountain.
Ha, that was a bad idea.
i didn't wanna vomit in mid air. lol.

I had the most adrenaline i've ever had in awhile, which was good.
i was smiling the entire day & night even after 2 days.
The experience was amazing.
So calm and at the same time extreme (if you think about it).

It is also such a nice view up there.
I would like to see the earth on that view more often.
it also gave me a lot of inspiration to do some art,
so am back on the drawing board for some rad artwork coming out
from this wonderful experience.
-

The only thing that i probably would not like about it in the long run is climbing the mountain but
as long as i have my camera, am good to go!
i took a few snaps on the way.

The more you fly the more it grounds you to the earth.

Thank You for the wonderful experience!
Ahhh! can't wait til my next flight.

Ela Rei!

So I just arrived in Greece and it’s effin WARM!
I love it! Warm and Breezy!
In NYC it was raining and grey so this is a breather.

I saw some friends in Day 1 and had a tourist day in thecity
Visited the Acropolis and the museum.

On the way to Rafina (Port) we passed through a traffic jambecause there was some sort of rally.
In a country that is in economic crisis the first thing thatyou cut cost on is your advertising and marketing budget.

The greek TV station just retrenched 2/3rds of theiremployees due to cost cutting.
This is sad to see all those advertising artists especiallywho has dedicated loosing their art and soul (kidding) in working for anadvertising/main stream TV firm and they get fired. L
This sucks.

I’ve been eating greek food for the last two days and it’samazing!!

One of the main reasons why I like to kite here in Greece isbecause I love the vibe here.

People are chill
It’s sunny.
The beaches are great
The social life is good
And the food is healthy.
Plus of course it’s very windy.

Check out whatsup in Paroskite.gr to know more about thisplace where I will be for the summer.
Am really excited to go now.

We are currently in the ferry to Paros.
I got in contact with the local BEST rider from Greece, MikeChatziliadis, who I also met here on my first year visiting Greece.

Last year if you remember mike and afro are the ones thatpicked me up in the airport where prior to that mike sprained his ankle reallybad. Now he is better that ever and of course riding with BEST.

Stayed tuned on what we have in store for you this summer.
The House is set and we are ready to shred, Greek style!

PEACE!

Road Less Traveled

If there is one thing that a lot of people don’t get aboutme is that I love traveling by road.
Road trips are for me the best, even boat trips are cool aswell. Provided that I have a comfortable seat and a clean bathroom to use alongthe way, am fine.

Coming out from Cape Hatteras earlier than expected I foundmyself in the Road to NYC.
Stopping over Richmond to hang out with the guys at TRIBUOUTDOORS USA.

This core group of shredders maybe core in culture but theyknow how to roll.

I ended up in the Marriot Hotel in Downtown Richmond for thetime that I was there and it was fun!

After Richmond I took the train to NYC and spent a good 2 ½days here to see some architecture, art and my city friends who I haven’t seenin years.

It was a good stop over also to get a lot of necessitiesbefore entering Greece for the 3rd time..

NYC is fun, especially Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The town iscute and there is a lot of artworks on the street and even saw a few fromfamiliar artists that I see on deviant art or pinterest.

I am surely gonna miss the fast internet though.

Check some photos from the roadtrip.
A small longboard session at Kitty Hawk – I know I shouldnot be skating at all. But man I just cannot resist. I know in Greece the roadswould not be skatable anyways just like the Philippines.

Anyways check this out. And am dead from my 2 day affairwith NYC! This city never sleeps.
Coming to the City makes me realize how much I do not belongthere and probably also affirming my status as an official beach bum.

So am chasing summer by coming to Greece for the season.

So Ready to say

Ela Rei!
