Paros by Night

Paros is lovely during the day
and it's lovelier at night.
here are some snaps from a night out in Naoussa.
Naoussa is a small town here in Paros where all the restaurants and bars are located.
My greek friends told me that when Greece was having problems with piracy during the older days they came to Paros via the Naoussa port.

I also love going to Naoussa for the best Loucoumades in town, the best dessert in the world.

Naoussa is known for the Parties but Paros is known for the chill out and relaxed life
here is what i see outside our house.
I took this during a full moon night
and also some long exposures when there was no moon and you can see all the stars

Paros mostly thrives from farming olives and other vegitation
so our house is situated in a farm area and light is very scarce at night so you can
see the gazillion stars in the sky.

Greece being relatively cloudless during summer gives you the most spectacular view of the night sky which is just breathtaking.
check out the pictures.
there is one picture where a plane passed by and it created a line in the sky.
i find it funny.
thats all.

cheers from windy, sunny and starry Greece X

Smile with your eyes

its high season here in Paros and its lovely.am so glad i came back here. The school has been really busy and i've been enjoying a 9pm sunset everyday which is really cool.

I get to spend a lot of time in the water and that kinda makes me forget to update my blog because i always think i have time to do it at night but the day here is soooo long, when it gets dark its almost time for bed :P

hehe.

I've been pretty well these past few weeks after that freak stupid crash i had in the triple s and this neck injury which is recovering quite fast thanks to the healthy greek food and my healthy life here in Paros as always.

Ive been concentrating on just making myself better in general, just really focused on healing right now.
my days are filled with Yoga Sessions, my breakfast consisting of oats and bananas with almonds - to avoid cramps ( #things youaretrainedtodowhenyouwereanathleteinschool) lunch mostly consists of fresh veggies, feta cheese and sometimes pasta. and for dinner - trying to learn some greek dishes and my gyro/souvlaki fix.
Ive also been disciplined, like really disciplined on my alcohol intake, which i admit is really hard being in Greece during summer when all your friends and everyone else around you is on vacation feening on some drunk dancing.
---ive been drinking Milk and Nesquik instead of beer :P
i'd take a bottle or two during weekends but thats it.
i feel like a minor. hehe.

of course in between are the daily kite sessions and painting my nails plus taking pictures here in beautiful paros.

Am so keen on getting back in riding. and also am stoked on the new stuff i've learned over the past sessions i have had. I learn a lot when i kite here in Paros, everyone else just helps each other with the riding instead of competing with each other which is what i think is great about the crew here same as how it was with the Triple S crew and the OBX kite community in general. Cant wait to get 110% again and be back on my boots in no time <3

But best of all i believe it's the fresh air, warm sun (vitamin D) and the beautiful scenery that has mad my recovery so good and fast as far as today.

So am sharing you these images i took the other day. This is my daily route (5mins on push bike/10min walk) to Paros Kiteboarding Center from our House here in Paros, Greece. <3
taken at 9am.

hope you love them as much as i do, every morning when i pass by.
let these images from my eyes, make you picture how these things give me a nice smile on my face
everyday.

Cheers and Windy Greets

When the wind doesnt blow

been really busy lately and haven't been posting so much
moving around with this new HUGE quiver is harder than i thought.
Good thing anton is here with me already to help me with my luggage <3 in exchange of a backrub and some good food. hehe

Anyways, the wind is dead for the past few and it's keeping our spirits low.
though i was able to manage to get some work done for the last two weeks.

here are some snaps from our day off
me and meg went to Punda Beach Bar where all the young scandinavian kids come out to party
we met a gay couple - a DJ and a bartender who was working the sunset shift.
Gay couples are always hot. hehe

This is Sparta

i have been backlogged on blogging lately because i've been having so much fun!!

best times ever. i live in a house with 6 other instructors and 2 roomies a polish and and australian girl. zuza and meg respectively. Theyre the best ever. we have a nice veranda where we have coffee in the morning. yes am taking coffee now because its just to nice to have one here. greek coffee is goooood! then we make our lunch and head out for a 10 minute walk to the kite center by the beach

There is a port nearby to Anti paros which is like a 10 minute ferry ride, which is cool. it is just exactly how i imagined greece to be. nice town with ice cream parlors, cheap souvlakis and full of blue and white shades. its a perfect place to raise a family or have a romantic stroll actually.

The sunset here is amazzzing. i am doing a rad video with the footy i have, its really breathtaking.

i am having such a nice time working in the center http://paroskite.gr because the crew is great, spot is amazing conditions are nice and the center's system is cool too!

am gonna post more pics soon but for now here are some pics of how fuct up athens was during the riots...hard timess.

and how amazing paros island is <3

this photo is a random house i pass through every morning down to the kite spot

PS: thanks to global kiter foundation, ikitebecause.com and sadrine plus charlie for taking care of me while i was in athens, you guys rooock! :)

What goes down hard, comes back up and higher!

First Post from Paros Island Greece
<3

It has been very hectic the last week being stuck in Athens with all the riots going on
AND i got robbed :(

somebody broke into my car and took my ENTIRE luggage of clothes.
Well atleast my gear is safe and my camera and laptop is still here.
So funny actually why they just stole the clothes and also even picked from the lot, they left me with me with 1 boardshort, 1 shirt and 1 dress plus my KTA wet shirt and Jersey is still there, good thang!

My books, camera charger and bad ass X-mini speaker is there though..booo.

Well now am settled in Paros and we are waiting for the wind, i had my first sesh in the Aegean sea yesterday and it was a blasttt! can't wait to have some more.

I also had a little trip to AntiParos with my housemates on the first night. It's an amazing place and its only a 10 minute ferry ride away.

PS: Our house is amazing! complete with a kitchen, a garden with a lemon three and white roses <3 so beautiful! Our neighbor has some corn, pumkin and watermelons growing in their backyard, we have devised some plans to befriend our neighbors and get some fresh veggies. wiii!

i've been eating healthy stuff here all the time. Here are some pics of my daily lunch, the veggies here are sooo dank! i usually hate carrots but now am having them everyday. so yummy.

Had some uzo with my roomie meg in our beautiful garden watching the amazing greek sunset!

After all that stress ive been through in Athens, Paros is a great breather! Life is beautiful!
and the center here is great

come visit us at Punda, Paros
