Summer sun shining brighter than ever.

i woke up with the sun shining on my face.

am so happy am back here in Greece for the Summer.

the weather is sooo awesomeee!!!

i must admit that the city is really not for me, and so is the cold,

life is better in my bikinis!hehe

I can say now that i've recovered well from my last unfortunate "encounter"

and i must admit i got really scared

and got to think a bit on what the future is gonna be.

for now, am just really stoked to be back in the water, where i belong :)

i went kiting today with a surfboard,  

the entire Paros kite team has been very helpful - so nice! 

my greek kite family always got my back and supports me in every way.

we spent the entire day shooting for my Roxy finalist challenge video. 

everyone had their own idea on how to make me look "roxy" lol

really excited on how it will turn out.

ok, so this is a small edit that anton made for me. sesshioning one afternoon infront of mangoriders, boracay ++ some stuff from WONW 2011 ( only a few clips i saved from my now dead macbook)

it's been a tough season for me with the shoulder injury which stops you from progressing and puts you back to square one all the time.

it is a humbling experience to go back to basics, learn and re-learn tricks and explore variations. its also a great reminder that you should just have fun when your out surfing. nothing more, nothing less.

its good to not do what or how the book tells you to do a trick.

steez it, poke it, grab it!

uprising

it's been really busy for the last three weeks and i can say that this is the first weekend i had off since the KTA started. it was really hectic but fun at the same time. now i get to spend some time with working on my computer, the shots and also prepping up to go back to Vigan, which is ahhhmazing.

we have been traveling and shooting with the COR aka children of revolution here in boracay and union bay. we had an awesome time shooting with the jet ski, GoPro and heli, how sick is that eh? and as usual, when my riding gets better i just fuck it up again completely with the shoulder when i get to try harder stuff.

this sucks so bad.

but what to do but let it heal again, rehab and prioritize a surgery before i leave the country again.

so yeah this weekend i was just hangin with some friends and it reminded me on why i stayed and lived in boracay in the last 6-7 years of my life. and i tell you, even if its full of tourists here and there, oh it is a great place to be, great people and just good vibes if you just know where to look and where to be.

its also funny how fast the coconut express is, your gone out working 2 jobs for the last 3 weeks plus some events and don't hang around, the next thing you know is that there are rumors about you being snobbish, obnoxious, judgemental or whatever just because you dont show up because your working.. its funny how assuming and conclusive it is. i jsut wish that sometimes people are more understanding that there are other things you do in your life aside from partyingö like, sleeping, enjoying some daytime sport, doing the errands, or just simply working, to continue living a good life and get some time to kitesurf .

at the end of each day you just have to not think of what others think, because it will eventually get to you and destroy some goals and achievements you have been doing during your daily life.

don't let this things affect you, do what you love to do, what feels right and just rise above all things that bring you down.

o well, in the end i love you all X

Rediscovering Kiteboarding

hej all,

happy new year to everyone! this is my first official 2012 post because my black macbook finally gave up on me after 4 years? something like that.

am a bit sad about it, as i really loooove my black macbook and i will never be able to get a new one just like that :(

its been really windy everyday and am overpowered always on a 7m. its good and bad in both ways. in some way its good because i don,t unhook and this makes me be more creative in my hooked in freestyle tricks which is actually going quite well for me and my shoulder as of the moment.

but yea at the end of the day, you dont really want to be riding overpowered all the time, now am nursing 3 cuts in my feet, a bruised foot from hitting my board and a bruised up thumb from my hand hitting my IDS system at times.

but everything else is good and all is well. i just wish my computer was still alive so i can process some pictures for all of you to see.

WONW 2011 wraps up

its been a fun and challenging 10days for me here in CWC both in the Jam and in my life in general.

First of all battling a recurring shoulder injury which actually made me more focused on my riding and made me more careful.
and yes people the shoulder is stronger than ever and am really happy about that.


its also nice to know that even if you and your friends see each other once to twice a year theyre still the funny bunch of mofos that youve always known and they always got your back no matter what. and because of that am planning up my whole year ahead already to see these people, i think it would be much more worth it than what i did this last year.

its much more worth it than spending a lot of time with a group of people who doesnt even care about your feelings, support your ambition, or just simply include you in plans and conversations.


i am also glad i got A LOT of shots from the winch park and some gopro stuff but most of them have watermarks as usual.



but anyways here are some excerpts from the event.

In the Cable

The last 2 weeks has been crazy.
Traveling non-stop
This is the first day i can sit down properly and update everyone on my wherabouts.

We were up in the north for almost 4 weeks.
a week in Vigan-Kingfisher then Vigan again then Kingfisher
then 5 days in Boracay then now back in my hood, CWC yo!
Nice to see everyone too.

Am here now for the Wind or No Wind Board Jam 2011.
i may say i did well not injuring my shoulder on the warm up sesh.
it's been great so far.

everyone is arriving today, would be really nice to hang with everyone again and get some parties down!

Been out of reach lately.

Today is the last day of KTA Boracay. There's gonna be a massive party too at hang out bar in Hangin Kite Center.

Should be really really GREAT.

I did Course Racing for the first time ever. i never knew i'd enjoy it this much.

I've been running around like a headless chickee AS USUAL

With this NEW and "GROWN UP" decision i made a couple of weeks back

my mood has been going up and down

and i just find myself staring at blanc spaces every so often.

In the previous post i was Derailed last january, for all the plans that didn't push through which created a domino effect in everything going on with my life right now

and currently suffering the consequences that it brought on my lap.

This lovely month of Feb, am blind. Literally blind on what lies ahead of me.

Though i really wanna do a backloop to blind in the kite right now as i am prepping up for

KTA Boracay.LOL

- sorry i jsut cant think of something more creative than this for now.

All my so-called creativity is being sucked up into one place right now and it's kinda driving me crazy.

**i really can't see the point how can companies want to keep their supposedly "creative" employees inspired when they wanna keep them clocked-in to a four wall space from 9-5pm 6 times a week. ** just wondering here a bit, and maybe somebody can give me an answer i can believe about this one.

The wind has been very nice to me lately by staying at 15-20knots which is perfect for my Cabrinha SB 7m and good to practice stuff unhooked.

For the last couple of days

at 7am i wake up for breakfast and try to squeeze in a sched before my ITC course starts at

around 830am and ends around 4pm when the wind usually dies and i cannot go practice anymore. Am missing out on my sunset sessions because of the pile of work on my lap (AM NOT complaining ok, am jsut sayin' :) ). Am missing out on a lot of parties lately because i have to get up early and usually to tired to function and dance.. i wish there are more hours in the day so i can do more stuff like hosting a dinner for some friends. <3

AM really glad i still made it to the ABC party

(hey am not missing out on an costume party around me)

but i went home early coz am tired so i only had pics to see how Fuckt everyone was.

i really missed a good one right there.

i received roses on valentines day

well at the end am stll very happy on where i am right now

January is crazy!!! I don't even know where to start...

1. I Got my Hair color changed FINALLY. goodbye orange blonde hair. hello Ash Blonde.

I just hope it doesn't turn green or something after a few kite sesh.

2. My friend Kate and Noel got married after 5 years and 7months with each other. I still remember meeting kate on their first week together as a couple. <3>

3. Since i've been out of the water alot because of my knee i only go kiting for specials occassions like a day trip to union bay where it's less choppy which will give less impact for my knee.

4. And since am out of the water i've been in party rehab with all the other guys from room one and "Justin Beaver" A.K.A. Anton Lilljegren with the rest of the swedish french toast mafia - whatever that means to them.

5. Had fun organizing the parties again for the 22nd Boracay International Funboard Cup - the 80s party was crazy AS USUAL! and the fashion show was extra crazy cause on of the guys stripped in the end. haha.

6. I also went out kiting in my crayon costume and my friend's blue wig. It was sooo fun! But also kinda hard, i really didn't think it would be though.

There are also sad .. i mean LESS happy things that crossed my path last month

1. I didn't get to compete for the WWA 2011 because of my knee and my crazy ass schedule for january.

2. My shoulder is F*ckt. ahhhhh. NOTE TO SELF: unhooking in 30+knots is not a good idea.

3. My Kite is Broken :(

4. Am not gonna make it to thailand :(

5. My BRAND NEW 60D got wet and is not working anymore. i had to bring it to Canon and shell a lot of cash for the repair :(

- am really unlucky when it comes to electronics you know. i really don't get it. a few months back i broke my GoPro on my FIRST DIVE in Malaysia and now my 60D :(

-am on my 3rd or 4th G2 Iphone for the last 2 years. i really don wanna upgrade it because i know am just gonna break it or lose it along the road.

I've made a very grown up decision the other day which will change my life for the year. I actually saw it coming but i never thought i'd have to decide this month.

Crossing my fingers that am gonna survive this "change" am gonna do.

Ill tell you more about this in a separate post. For now am just really gutted and hoping that am doing the right thing.

o well, the sun doesn't stop shining. <3

Kate is the prettiest bride everrrr

She had a really really rad wedding and the reception set up was amazing.

am such a sucker for set deign/interior stuff am so amazed when i went in.

wedding turned grand reunion - so fun reminiscing about stupid stuff we did in college.

i kinda feel bad not staying for the after party, my stomach was hurting so much so i had to go :(
