The Gyros Pita Man and the best dessert in the world

one of the best things about the med is the food. it's always amazing.

especially for somebody like me who snacks a lot.

yes, i eat A LOT!

Greece thrives a lot from farming, especially Paros.

I never go wrong with any munchies here in Greece.

The Gyros Pita is a staple. a 2.50euro goodness of meat, fries, onion, tomatoes and tzatziki.

Different places have different ways of making Gyros pita, we try to take time to go to different places with this amazing Greek Staple.

Frozen Yogurt and Homemade Ice cream

are few of the famous greek desserts but

The Best desert in the WORLD

is the traditional Loucoumades.

it's fried dough balls smothered with warm merenda (greek nutella)

or honey and cinnamon

topped with your choice of ice cream,

need i say more?

it's orgasmic. I LOVE Loucoumades!!!!

if you observe the guy who makes the Gyros pita ( The Pita man ), he is very passionate about it, so i took some photos, this was from the gyros pita place in Lefkas, a town situated in the hills of Paros.

Also there are exceptional Pita Men, who gets annoyed when you ask to change something in your gyro, like extra tzatziki. it's kind of like a big no no.

haha, it took me a while to get it, no asking for extra tzatziki.LOL

Aside from the sweets, the fruits here are to die for.Our house is actually a watermelon farm, so when the owner comes in every once in a while to pick out the ripe ones, he would give us a few of these delish watermelons. XO

When the leaves turn gold

I was actually happy i stayed a few weeks more than i planned
saw the leaves turned Gold

Ive been busy fixing our upcoming trip for Asia's Kite Season.

and i didn't realize that there were many things i still wanted to do and learn here in Sweden
Baking was one of them.

I successfully made Kanelbullar - Cinnamon Rolls today.

The kitchen space is very important to swedish people, it's actually nice because it makes you wanna use the kitchen all the time.

So yea it was so nice to prepare breakfast and clean up after :)


Here is Jens' a friend we met in Boracay, and now we are in his kitchen. He's making a wonderful dinner for us.

Freshly killed straight from their aquarium, which i forgot to take a picture of. it's like death row lottery, since they don't know who gets to be fried first. poor crabs - but they're really good.

DFA!! I HATE YOU! Yes you heard me right, Department of Foreign Affairs!

What is wrong with you, you know the reason why a lot of filipinos don't have passports, SSS, NBI clearance or even TIN IDs?

Because these government arms make it sooo freaking hard to get one!

Simple systems doesn't mean your outdated, sophisticated microchip whatever you call that thing, sophisticated systems doesn't really equate to = better!

gone are the days when you just have to go line up for a passport renewal, i might add, follow a simple 10 step program written in manila paper then boom - after 10days your passport is in your mailbox.

What is wrong with that system that you have to change it? now everyone is complaining and people are crying. And more than half the Philippine population doesn't have internet access and you tell them they can't get into DFA because they need to set an appointment ONLINE!
or call 737-1000 which is BUSY THE ENTIRE DAY FOR HOW MANY DAYS ALREADY IVE BEEN TRYING

People from other countries are amazed by how the Government here makes it really difficult for its own people.
